A Martha Stewart For A Younger, Cooler Generation

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a find, so I thought I’d introduce you to my latest online haunt – Pippa Lord’s Sous Style.

Sous Style

Although I’ve only recently become obsessed with her blog, it’s been thriving for about a year. Pippa Lord, photo director for ELLE magazine, launched Sous Style in 2011. Dubbed a resource for “a new generation of homemaking,” Sous Style is a sublime combination of food, fashion, photography, design, and community.

Sous Style’s Twitter bio encourages us to “think young and cool Martha Stewart.” I would agree with that description with the addition of “approachable.” The photo style, the tone, and even the beautiful artists and fashion types featured are always aspirational yet in an accessible and endearingly imperfect way.

Content on Sous Style is a combination of original features and well curated food, style and home decor inspiration.

Some of my favorite features include:
* House Hunter
A girl can dream.

* The people profiles in Eat With Me, Cook for Me, and Wake Up Call (The latter being a peek into the enviable morning routines of some young fabulous women).

Eat With Me

* The recipes and home section is full of pin-worthy recipes and home inspiration.

By the way, Sous Style was featured this week on Cassandra Daily with some other new blogs pairing food with fashion such as The Food Life and Lookbook Cookbook. I look forward to checking them out.
