Creepy? This guy?

This photo, taken at a Fast Horse Halloween party a few years ago, is what I’ve been using for my personal Facebook and Twitter avatars for a while now. I like it because it’s offbeat and also because it pops visually at the small size these things appear in tweets and postings. I don’t use it on LinkedIn, which I view as a more professional venue.

Much to my regret, however, I’ve gotten a few comments recently from people who find it — well, a bit disturbing.

So I’m putting it to Peepshow Nation: Does the clown need to die?
