A Saint Patrick’s Day Tribute To America

Top of the mornin’ to ya! I’m thinking that we, as Americans, have taken it upon ourselves to really build out the legacy and tradition of St. Patrick’s Day — even if the Irish didn’t necessarily send us down this path.

American cities such as Boston, New York, and Chicago have been known to out-celebrate Dublin by a long shot. While Ireland focuses more on family-friendly festivities, we throw epic parades, paint our fingernails all kinds of green, and engage in an almost-shameful consumption of alcoholic beverages. This post is dedicated to some of my favorite things about America on this oh-so-Irish holiday:

Lucky CharmsHealthy, vegan shamrock shake recipes…but seriously, let’s stick to the real deal, please.

Tips on how to look stylish in green.

As if Lucky Charms didn’t make you feel lucky enough, the limited-edition box.

Kermit DudeThis, though… taking a timeless ballad and making it truly our own.

Being granted the right to pinch a perfect stranger if they aren’t wearing any bloody green!

And finally, a little inspiration to up your Guinness intake and make your tastebuds very, very happy.
