MinnCAN’s Road To Success Leads Through Cloquet…and Grand Rapids…and…September 18, 2013
By John Reinan,
We’re on the Road to Success! Fast Horse is thrilled to be working with MinnCAN on a 12-city tour of Greater Minnesota, highlighting some of the state’s best schools and finding out what Minnesotans think should be done to improve education in the state.
MinnCAN, an education reform advocacy group, works to ensure that every Minnesota student has access to a great public education. Daniel Sellers and Nick Banovetz, MinnCAN’s executive director and deputy director, will log well over 1,000 miles over the next three weeks. The “Road to Success” tour began with visits to Cloquet and Grand Rapids, and will continue to 10 more Minnesota cities.
They’ll meet with teachers, school superintendents and administrators, mayors and elected officials, business leaders, foundation officials, regional development officials, Native American community leaders, and more.
The goal: Hear what Minnesotans have to say about education. And then bring those views back to the state capitol to help influence education policy in the state.
We invite you to follow their progress on the tour page. It’s going to be great!
