Menstruation has always been an awkward topic in society and I’m not sure why. It’s a normal bodily function that every woman deals with.

But for some reason or another, when your “monthly visitor” arrives, it’s accompanied by some level of shame. We use code words. Tampons are hidden up shirt sleeves. Clothes are worn a little looser, and heaven forbid you’re even the slightest bit cranky.

To the men still reading this and feeling embarrassed, get over it. To the woman, get ready because I’m about to introduce you a new company designed to make “that time of the month” a little bit better.

I don’t expect HelloFlo.com to change millions of women’s lives, but it certainly brings some welcome convenience and personalization to the feminine product market. And needless to say, Hello Flo adds some much-needed levity to the topic. It’s a new, but very appreciated, approach to this hush–hush topic.
