Next Big Thing, the growers’ cooperative behind SweeTango apples, is giving two lucky fans a chance to win one of the first boxes of SweeTango apples this fall.

If you’re not familiar with SweeTango , it is a new variety of apple that began hitting retail shelves in limited volumes last year and will be available nationally this fall. SweeTango has quite the “family tree” and is a cross between two popular apples – Honeycrisp (mom) and Zestar! (dad). Apple breeders at the University of Minnesota played matchmaker.
