Mark Rosen: Falling Apart — Or Pulling It Together?

Mark Rosen

I really like Mark Rosen. The WCCO sports director and frequent KFAN contributor is smart and seems like a genuinely good guy. With more than 40 years in local broadcasting, he also represents institutional memory that’s often sorely lacking in an era of media cutbacks.

But the poor guy, now in his late 50s, is having all kinds of trouble. In the span of just a couple of days last week, I heard Rosen on KFAN endorsing an array of companies that have helped him with personal issues.

He’s touting hair replacement, sleep apnea therapy and a weight loss program. Rosen undoubtedly is seen as a credible and appealing spokesperson. But if he starts shilling next for a cure to the heartbreak of psoriasis, I might suggest he just take some time off and get better.
